Job Description Active Arear Attendant /General Worker - Submarines Full Time Thurso, Scotland Why Rolls-Royce? A vacancy has arisen in the Active Repair & Overhaul Department in Vulcan for an Active Arear Attendant /General Worker. This position supports a fundamental part of the AR&O decontamination process. Acting in accordance with the company’s heath and safety policy the function the role is to carry out the decontamination and process monitoring of active components and equipment, as well as carrying out cleaning of the components to Grade A & B and ensuring that all waste is properly collected and segregated within the facility and made ready for monitoring and disposal. What you’ll be doing: You will provide world-class technical support for in-service/delivered products and to influence maturity throughout the product life cycle to meet customer and business needs, ensuring Design Intent is met. Carry out radiological decontamination processes. Perform stringent high value component cleaning techniques. Support challenging Engineering assembly and dis-assembly process. Participate in / support novel engineering trials and test operations. Familiarity of Radiological Decontamination and Engineering Component cleanliness. Experience in Health Physics working practices and control measures.
