Secondment Opportunity - Fixed Term 12 months About the role Reading’s building control team deal with a range of development and building enquiries. This work needs to be administered by capable business support staff by responding to emails and phone calls, booking on applications to our system, arranging site inspections and relevant notices and certificates being issued. All of these processes need to be carried out in accordance with nationally set standards of working. The success of the team relies on everyone playing their part to the best of their ability. Substantial experience of working in an office, preferably doing Planning or Building Control business support duties or similar regulatory service within a local authority. Experience of working on computer based record keeping systems and able to create reports from data to monitor performance Recognises that meeting deadlines is important. Experience of contributing to or suggesting business improvements to provide more efficiency or a better service for staff and/or customers.
