Position: Learning Support Assistant (SEMH school)
Location: Hartlepool, Durham
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed Learning Support assistant who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils at out fantastic Cambian Hartlepool (SEMH) School.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have a passion for working with young people and want to make a difference in people’s lives.
2. The young people that you will be working with, have behavioural problems and have experienced trauma and so we would require an individual who will bring positive commitment to young people and has an awareness of their issues.
3. Be punctual and flexible.
4. Be well-organised, adaptable and practical.
5. Able to work under pressure, sometimes in stressful and challenging situations
6. Self-motivated and be able to use own initiative.

Who we are:
Cambian Hartlepool School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 18 students, aged 11-17 years.
Hartlepool School and vocational centre exists in order to provide academic and learning opportunities for students who have previously struggled in mainstream schools. Students placed here will normally have recognised social, emotional and behavioural attributes (SEMH). The School provides a nurturing environment that is set up to meet the individual needs of these students.
