Job Summary:
The Group Estates Manager will oversee and maintain the facilities across HealthHarmonie and Medinet Group, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations throughout our national estate portfolio, including over 125 clinics and two head offices. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of facility management, with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee both Hard and Soft Services across the organisation, ensuring all facilities are properly maintained and operational.
* Lead and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules at Head Offices in Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield, as well as nationwide clinics, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Conduct regular facilities inspections to ensure they are fit for purpose, safe, secure, and conducive to a healthcare environment.
* Ensure all estates and facilities comply with relevant quality, health, and safety regulations as well as government and regulatory body requirements, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
* Manage risk across the organisation, including L8 legionella water management and overall water safety plan.
* Communicate and enforce policies and procedures to ensure adherence to health and safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
* Issue, review, and update SLAs for host sites, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of HealthHarmonie and align with CQC standards.
* Oversee and manage external subcontracting arrangements, including waste control and BOC services, to ensure high standards of service delivery.
* Enforce infection control measures at all facilities, ensuring compliance with CQC standards through the implementation of action plans and audit schedules.
* Identify and assess suitable host sites for new and existing contracts, ensuring they meet HealthHarmonie's specifications and are in line with CQC requirements.
* Oversee the setup and ongoing management of rooms or clinics, ensuring they are fully equipped and compliant with all necessary standards.
* Regular travel to various contract locations across England to oversee and manage facilities, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in facilities management within the healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of healthcare facility regulations, including infection control and H&S compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across multiple sites, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal operational efficiency.
* Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and the ability to ensure compliance across all facilities.
* Strong knowledge and experience in managing water safety, particularly in L8 legionella control measures.
* Experience in negotiating and managing SLAs for facilities, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
* Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site projects.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Full valid driving license and access to a car.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in health and safety.
