Salary/Benefits: Salary from £31,930 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Teacher in Economics to join our Sixth Forms department at The Bedford College group .
As a Teacher, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
· Overall Responsibilities: Help students develop skills and reach their potential through course delivery and curriculum development.
· Teaching and Student Engagement: Undertake teaching commitments, motivate students, and maintain a high-quality learning environment.
· Assessment and Feedback: Provide timely assessments, feedback, and record student progress to aid their learning improvement.
· Curriculum and Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to curriculum development, organize extracurricular activities, and participate in departmental meetings.
· Statutory Duties: Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, follow health and safety requirements, and engage in training and development.
About you:
· Educational Qualifications: Degree in a relevant subject, Certificate in Education or equivalent, and GCSEs in English and Maths (grade A-C or equivalent).
· Teaching Experience: Current experience teaching A-Level Economics and experience in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with 16–18-year-olds.
· Teaching Skills: Demonstrable record of success, up-to-date knowledge of subject area, syllabus, and teaching methods, and experience using ILT to enhance teaching and learning.
· Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds, promote equality and diversity, and provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
· Professional Attributes: Commitment to safeguarding, continuous skill and knowledge updates, flexible work approach, and awareness of health and safety requirements.
