Key Stage 3 Teacher
Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking Teacher for a very popular Alternative Provision in Chorley who provides education for 11 - 16 year olds.
The role is to start as soon as possible until July 2025. The SEMH School in Chorley is offering a long-term full-time placement 5 days a week with a possibility for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. The school has excellent public transport links with a bus stop 5 minutes walking distance and a large onsite staff parking with close links to the motorway.
This SEMH School rated 'Good' aims to provide the highest standards of teaching and learning so that all children can achieve their academic potential.
The school caters for students with a range of social and emotional mental health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties. You will be teaching a Key Stage 3 class with 3 to 4 pupils in the class, with a maximum capacity of 8 pupils. Within the class, you will have two pupil support workers supporting you. As the teacher, you will be required to deliver engaging and diverse lessons to encourage both academic and personal development.
As a Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team, who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations. The successful Teacher will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff.

1. Provide a happy, safe, and caring environment for pupils and staff.
2. Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
3. Have experience teaching KS3.
4. Have knowledge and understanding of working with a range of learning difficulties including moderate and severe learning difficulties, complex needs, and autism.
5. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
6. Complete Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
7. Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
8. You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
