Are you a qualified (or newly qualified) Occupational Therapist looking for a role in a Trust that really supports your career development?
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is working extremely hard to get occupation at the core of our practice, and we'd love for you to join us!
Are you interested in making real change happen? At Yeovil District Hospital, we are undergoing a transformation within the Occupational Therapy Department to focus on life-changing critical care.
Focusing on supporting individuals who have had a life-changing event, we utilize our unique acute Occupational Therapy skills. Occupational therapy is underpinned by the premise that engagement in occupation is fundamental to health and wellbeing. Through occupations, people can orchestrate their lives in ways that enable them not only to survive but also to flourish.
Main duties of the job
We have transformed the Occupational Therapy service to ensure we are positioned in the right place to maximize our skills and enhance patient experience and outcomes. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic OTs to be part of our ongoing development to ensure we deliver to those who need us when they have experienced significant life changes, knowing we can be on that journey with them!
Our Occupational Therapists are patient-centered, assessing and supporting patients to retain or regain participation in their occupations and consequent independence in their day-to-day life.
We provide specialist assessment, goal setting, and planning intervention, working closely with our support workers, Physiotherapy team, and our community services across Somerset.
We offer a competitive relocation package if you wish to move to Somerset!
