Events Fundraising Manager Permanent c.£40,000 per annum Hybrid Working, Surrey Based, Full Time The Talent Set is delighted to partner with a specialist charity based in Surrey in recruiting a dedicated and proactive Events Fundraising Manager. This pivotal role will lead the charity’s events programme, delivering high-impact events to drive supporter engagement, elevate the charity’s profile, and maximise income. The successful candidate will develop strategies for special events, manage event committees, and foster relationships with key supporters to strengthen engagement across the charity’s events portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with special event committee chairs and members, providing the necessary guidance and support from charity to achieve successful event outcomes. Lead and manage the annual programme of special events, including flagship dinners and auctions, delivering exceptional experiences that foster long-term, engaged donor relationships. Oversee the planning and execution of the annual events and challenges fundraising programme, ensuring high-quality supporter care that enhances engagement and maximises fundraising success. Collaborate with other fundraising managers to ensure events are aligned with broader organisational goals, tailoring each event to effectively reach target audiences and boost support. Facilitate and direct regular committee meetings and briefings, ensuring activities align with agreed Memorandums of Understanding. Proactively identify and explore new opportunities to grow and revitalise the special events and specialist programme, developing investment cases to drive future growth. Person Specification: Demonstrable experience in managing income-generating events, including oversight of suppliers, venues, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery. Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience in collaborating with Special Events Committees, volunteers, and Senior Leadership Teams to meet shared objectives. Proficient in budget planning and financial management, ensuring events are delivered on budget and maximising income potential. Skilled in using events as a stewardship tool to foster long-term engagement, creating memorable experiences that strengthen supporter relationships. Strong communicator with clear, engaging written and verbal skills; proficient in MS Office and CRM databases, with a solid understanding of effective customer care. Highly organised and flexible, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining enthusiasm and delivering excellent service to supporters and stakeholders.
