We are currently looking for an Associate Building Surveyor to fill a permanent opening with a company located in the City Centre of Leeds. Interested candidates must have a range of surveying experience, from project to professional.
Responsibilities of the Associate Building Surveyor:
1. Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
2. Undertaking building surveys.
3. Monitoring the deterioration or defects of a property and offering advice on repair work.
4. Delivering projects from inception to completion to meet the project objectives.
5. Negotiating the repair of work or a financial settlement if required.
6. Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.
7. Diligently handling all instructions and maintaining comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
8. Contract Administration.
9. Dilapidation Liability Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
10. Schedules of Condition.
11. Party Wall Duties.
Requirements of the Associate Building Surveyor:
1. Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
2. At least 5 years postgraduate experience with provable technical delivery experience.
3. Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a project.
4. Significant exposure to, and good working relations with private sector clients.
5. IT skills (AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel and other bespoke software).
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
On offer for the Associate Building Surveyor:
The salary on offer for this position is between £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
