Your new school
This three form entry Infant School in Manchester is currently looking for a Nursery Nurse to work in one of their Reception Classes. You will be supporting the class teacher deliver the EY curriculum. The school's last Ofsted was in 2003 where it was described as a "very good school." There is a clear emphasis on achievement and on helping pupils to develop personally as well as academically, and all adults work towards these common goals. The school's local area is socially, economically, and culturally diverse, and the school's population is drawn from a very wide variety of backgrounds.
The school is looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse with an NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You must have previously worked in a school environment before, supporting a class teacher with the foundation stage. Familiarity with the Early Learning Goals and the ability to make learning fun and interesting for young children is essential. You must be a team player who can get on and use your initiative. Strong communication skills and confidence in supporting the class teacher with assessing and monitoring children are necessary. The ability to liaise with parents and a solid understanding of the foundation stage curriculum is essential.
This is a long-term position, and the school is wanting to take someone on who can commit until the end of the summer term. You will be working in an organised and supportive school. The position is set to start ASAP.
