Role Overview: As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our Key Stage 2 students. Your resilience, confidence, and enthusiasm will be key in engaging with our diverse student body and assisting in their growth and development.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, providing assistance to individual students or small groups as required.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
3. Assist in the planning and preparation of learning activities, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for all students.
4. Provide one-on-one support to students with additional needs, implementing tailored strategies to help them achieve their full potential.
5. Promote positive behavior management techniques, reinforcing school policies and expectations consistently.
6. Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform future planning.
7. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
8. Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
9. Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a primary school setting.
10. A resilient, confident, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
12. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
13. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous but not essential.
