Who You Are / Your Next Challenge
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payment Analyst to join our Payments Operations team at Moneycorp on a full-time/permanent contract, based in our Coventry Office, West Midlands, reporting directly to the Operations Team Leader. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure customer payments are processed accurately, timely, and compliantly.
You will be operating within a designated payments team which is a function of the wider Payments Operations function covering FX settlements, reconciliations, and cash allocations for the international payments business.
This is an entry-level role and therefore previous experience in payment processing is not necessary. The role provides an opportunity to learn about payments and all areas of payment operations within a global FinTech payments business. What will make you successful in this role is having sharp attention to detail, the ability to follow processes and procedure consistently at a high standard, and the attitude / mindset to learn things quickly.
What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role
1. High interest in moving into a role processing FX, settlements, and reconciliations activities.
2. Prior experience with day-to-day banking and reconciliation activities such as client money reconciliations, cash management, and settlement of FX trades.
3. Some understanding of AML and Compliance requirements.
4. Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships with a range of stakeholders.
5. Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written), stay calm and work well under pressure to meet competing deadlines.
6. Solution-focused approach and the ability to make objective and evidence-based decisions, and influence recommendations and decisions using insights.
7. Resilient to change, adapting to and supporting new situations with confidence.
8. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently and draw conclusions.
9. Some knowledge and understanding of the banking sector specifically around payments and FX products.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on a fundamental role within the Payments Operations function, who is keen to get involved in multiple projects within an established growing international organisation. This provides amazing scope for both strategic and operational self-development.
Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position, office-based in our Coventry office as part of the Payments Operations team. However, we have an agile flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home if desired.
What you get in return:
This role offers a competitive salary with commission or bonus, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday, pension, BUPA private medical health insurance and more.
