The post requires a Social Work qualification, extensive knowledge of legislation underpinning delivery of social care, and at least 3 years post qualifying experience in a statutory setting. The post holder will: require registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker. lead the service to provide and review trauma informed support to families subject to Special Guardianship Orders (SGO), in line with statutory requirements and best practice guidance. have a pivotal role in developing the support, training and services for Special Guardians in Cheshire West and Cheshire and provide expert advice to social workers on issues relating to special guardianship. will be part of the Connected People’s leadership team. Have Line Manager responsibilities of 1 x SGO Social Worker and 2 x SGO advisers.
