Job description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is essential to refer to these when submitting an application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
Job purpose: Facilitate within the home at the start of the job to build trust and manage the young boy's needs, which can vary depending on circumstances that day but will include changing pads, ensuring he is fed and watered. The long-term goal, once trust has been built, will be to go out and about to places of interest such as walks, parks, and soft play, where he can get around safely on his own allowing him to have free roam, which he thoroughly enjoys. The young boy has very limited communication and mobility. When out and about, he uses a manual wheelchair but is starting to take steps while supervised at home. Food has to be cut down due to a high risk of choking, and he currently has to be manually fed. He loves Mr Tumble, flashing lights, and music.

Details:

Summary Terms and Conditions:
1. The rate of pay for this position is £11.68p/h.
2. Hours and times of work as follows: Work during school holidays, which could involve Saturday working. Minimum 4hrs a week. Hours and days to be discussed at interview stage.
3. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
4. Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
5. The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
