Join our Resourcing team as a Recruiter on the Net Zero Teesside project and you can build something to be proud of As a site-based recruitment specialist for Balfour Beatty, your primary role is to enable the seamless recruitment and mobilisation of resource for the Net Zero Teesside project. You will act as a recruitment expert, demonstrating technical expertise, sector-specific knowledge, and strong influence among stakeholders and hiring managers. Your responsibilities encompass the entire recruitment lifecycle, with a strong focus on project mobilisation and sourcing a diverse candidate pool. What you'll be doing Vacancy Management Collaborate with the project HR Lead and Project Director to fully understand the resource forecast and mobilisation plan specific to the Net Zero Teesside project and build a recruitment plant to deliver against needs. Manage the full lifecycle of vacancies, including initial briefings with hiring managers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the role and project requirements. Provide market expertise and advice on the best recruitment routes tailored to the project's needs. Develop clear recruitment approaches, set timelines, and expectations for managers, ensuring accountability for shortlisting and hiring decisions to meet project timelines. Manage vacancies through the complete recruitment cycle, from approval to offer and start date, ensuring alignment with project mobilisation schedules. Sourcing and Attraction Utilise a diverse array of sourcing channels (LinkedIn, job boards, industry-specific networks, diversity-focused job boards) to attract a wide and inclusive candidate pool efficiently and cost-effectively. Act as a 'Brand Ambassador' for Balfour Beatty, promoting the company’s employment offerings and the Net Zero Teesside project through social media and other channels. Support the HR Lead and project team in developing the EVP to position NZT as the 'project of choice'. Partner with the candidate engagement team to develop attraction campaigns specifically tailored to the project's sector, with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Leverage in-house channels (Beamery, Talentlink) to proactively source and share candidates, optimising the use of existing pools for the project’s benefit. Candidate Experience Ensure a 'best in class' candidate experience by responding to applicants promptly and supporting them through the recruitment journey, emphasising the project’s significance. Educate hiring managers on the critical role of creating a positive candidate experience to attract top talent for the project. Data & Insight Maintain accountability for real-time updates in the ATS to ensure accurate tracking of project-related recruitment. Ensure data integrity and measure the effectiveness of the recruitment function in relation to project goals. Utilise recruitment metrics to influence strategies and decisions, ensuring alignment with project mobilization needs. Who we're looking for The following qualities/experience are essential: Relevant recruitment experience, preferably within infrastructure, engineering, or adjacent industries. Proven experience in supporting large-scale project mobilisation through effective and diverse recruitment strategies. Strong background in building and maintaining stakeholder/hiring manager relationships. Excellent collaborative skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively under project deadlines. Proficient in applicant tracking systems, social media, and recruitment process workflows. Demonstrated experience in creative resource planning and targeted candidate attraction for large projects.
