A pioneering AI-driven drug discovery company is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives, build high-value partnerships, and drive revenue expansion. About the Role
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute business development strategies to expand partnerships with biotech, pharma, and other stakeholders.
2. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including collaborations, licensing deals, and strategic alliances.
3. Work closely with scientific, product, and executive teams to develop compelling value propositions and commercial strategies.
4. Lead negotiations and manage the full deal lifecycle from initial outreach to contract execution.
5. Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and meetings to enhance visibility and build relationships.
6. Monitor market trends and competitive intelligence to inform business development efforts.
7. Support fundraising and investor engagement efforts where necessary.
Key Requirements
1. Proven track record in business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors.
2. Strong understanding of drug discovery, computational biology, or related technology-driven therapeutic approaches.
3. Extensive network within the biotech and pharma industry, with experience in structuring and closing high-value deals.
4. Strategic mindset with the ability to translate scientific advancements into commercial opportunities.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; an advanced degree (PhD, MBA) is a plus.
