This role is responsible for progressing Scotland's activities which contribute to achieving our Net Zero objectives, with a key focus on energy reduction and renewable energy initiatives. You will provide energy management advice to business teams, conduct detailed analysis highlighting reduction opportunities and develop new programmes to achieve carbon reduction targets., Here are some of the duties your role will include: -
· Provide expert support and guidance on all matters relating to energy and carbon to deliver legislative compliance.
· Update and maintain environmental records and documentation to support the environment management system and emergency plans.
· Provide the focus for liaison arrangements with environmental stakeholders.
· Monitor closeout of improvement measures.
· Good understanding of UK and European environmental legislation and regulation
· Good understanding of environmental management system
· Knowledge of maintenance delivery process and techniques
· Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills
Its desirable if you have it to help give you context to the role: -
· Knowledge of operational railway environment
· Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard
· Membership of professional body

Scotland's Railway is part of this large family, and it covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the UK rail network. Salary: Starting at £35,582 and rising to £40,029 per annum
