Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Birmingham. You'll play a key role in supporting students with speech, language, communication, and social-emotional needs, helping them access learning and develop essential skills. Working closely with teachers and Learning Consultants, you will assist individuals and small groups, delivering pre-planned activities and tracking student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students in speech, language, communication, and social-emotional development
2. Help students engage with learning materials, including IT resources
3. Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce lessons and build confidence
4. Deliver pre-planned learning activities under teacher guidance
5. Assist in student assessments and track progress
6. Provide pastoral support, ensuring students' well-being and motivation
7. Supervise break and lunch times, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment
8. Assist in preparing resources and participating in planning meetings
Required Experience:
