We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Supervisor to join our Facilities team at Barnet General Hospital in Barnet, This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm.
The role:
1. Reporting to the General Manager
2. To supervise and assist with the maintenance of the hospital grounds to a professional standard, by means of litter and weed control, graffiti removal, and snow and ice removal
3. To oversee the day to day operations of the external Car Parking arrangements
4. Maintain close liaison with the Trust Facilities team members
5. Oversee the direct labour team and those of sub-contractors
6. Assist trade staff in maintenance, repair and installation / new works
7. To monitor and approve contractors work
8. Working 40 hours per week from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday
The person:
9. Must have supervisory experience and good people management skills
10. Strongly client focused, able to take ownership of projects/issues and resolve
11. Previous experience of grounds work is desirable
12. Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
13. Good organisation skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work
14. Multi-skilled with a flexible, can-do approach
15. Familiar with Health & Safety procedures, manual handling and COSHH
16. A full driving licence is essential
17. Must be able to gain DBS clearance
