Role Overview As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and academic excellence. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum. Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil can thrive. Use diverse teaching strategies and assessment methods to promote progress and attainment. Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, and a growth mindset. Pupil Progress & Assessment Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement. Implement tailored interventions for pupils needing additional support. Maintain accurate records of pupil performance and contribute to reports for parents and school leadership. Classroom & Behaviour Management Establish and uphold high expectations for behaviour, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture. Implement the school’s behaviour policies effectively to promote responsibility and mutual respect. Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage motivation and engagement. Collaboration & Professional Development Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive continuous improvement. Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development. Engage with parents and carers to strengthen home-school partnerships and support pupil well-being. School Contribution Support and participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities. Champion the school's values and ethos, contributing positively to the school community. Proactively identify opportunities for school improvement and innovation. What We Are Looking For Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching in a primary school, preferably in Key Stage 2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A commitment to fostering a love of learning and setting high expectations for all pupils. Desirable: Experience in a diverse, multicultural school environment. A track record of raising attainment and supporting pupil progress. Knowledge of SEND and EAL strategies.
