Your primary role will be to support the development of good quality voluntary provision for children, young people and families. As part of a countywide team, you will be expected to actively support the planning of countywide programmes/events with your colleagues, providing opportunities and training on SCVYS objectives. The key purpose of the Service Impact & Youth Engagement Manager role is to proactively support the delivery of a range of service functions that meet the needs of and promote growth within the voluntary and community sector in Staffordshire, specifically services focused on children, young people and families. This includes: Support the SCVYS team to work to agreed key performance indicators including outcomes aligned to the SCVYS Strategic Plan and various contract delivery plans. Utilising the Lamplight Case Management System aligned to the Value of Infrastructure Programme functions. Regularly reporting on all relevant performance information to a variety of funders including Staffordshire County Council, the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, the Young Foundation and the Integrated Care Board in line with agreed timescales and contract monitoring requirements. Alongside SCVYS managers support and contribute to all elements of internal Quality Assurance ensuring SCVYS remains committed to excellence across everything we do and all we say about what we do. Line management of the Youth Engagement team including an exciting portfolio of programmes including UK Youth Parliament, Young Community Researchers, elected Countywide Youth Council, Summer War Graves project and any other pieces of commissioned work, alongside partners including Staffordshire University, Staffordshire County Council and the German War Graves Commission (Volksbund). Contribute where required to any additional externally commissioned work that includes research, consultation and evaluation elements as and when required within capacity limitations. Take a lead in designing the look and content of publications such as the Annual Report, Social Value Report, etc. and supporting the updating of the State of the Sector report published approximately every 4-5 years. Key Tasks To lead on information, data and performance management across SCVYS delivery portfolio, reporting to the CEO, Trustee Board and external funders/stakeholders. To line manage the Youth Engagement team including regular supervision / appraisal, and to project manage large projects such as a new and exciting participatory research project with partners. Work closely with SCVYS Managers in setting, managing and delivering relevant programmes to budget and to the standards of excellence SCVYS is committed to. To ensure effective monitoring processes and tools are in place to demonstrate the impact of our delivery/support in both quantitative and qualitative formats. To create and produce quarterly written and verbal reports to our primary funder Staffordshire County Council (incl. commissioners, officers and Elected Members) against agreed delivery plan and associated performance monitoring requirements. To provide performance monitoring information to fulfil the monitoring and evaluation requirements of other externally funded projects. To produce the annual SCVYS Census Report including data collection preparation, cleansing and analysis of data and presentation of findings. This includes regular maintaining and updating the SCVYS Online Map to help Children, Young People and Families and other stakeholders identify and locate local provision. To lead on work with the SCVYS Management team to ensure internal quality standards, develop high quality funding bids, guiding project design, and suggest appropriate evaluation approaches for conceived projects. To lead on the collection and analysis of impact data and evidence to make the case for greater investment in SCVYS, to further support the local voluntary and community sector. To manage the relationship with our external database provider to ensure it is fit for purpose. To be responsible for maintaining, developing and implementing quality assurance systems. To link into the Young People’s Foundation Trust network around data and evaluation for learning, peer support and sharing best-practice. Support SCVYS marketing and communication functions to ensure key impact is communicated externally promoting SCVYS, the sector and young people. Support a culture of effective organisational impact practice and learning. Supporting staff in sharing relevant data and learning from their functions/projects to enhance future delivery and practice. Fully participate in the SCVYS planning, supervision and appraisal process To actively promote equality principles and anti–discriminatory practice at all times.
