Recruitment and Engagement Officer (Part Time Opportunity)
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Recruitment and Engagement Officer on a permanent, part-time (18.5 hours per week) basis.
The Recruitment and Engagement Officer will be establishing and maintaining relationships with applicants, providing information, advice and support from application through to successful apprenticeship hire (where applicable) or onto a wide range of Work based learning/Classroom based learning opportunities. You will have a strong desire to pro-actively contact and work with employers to support their recruitment needs.
Another purpose of the role will be to create, develop and maintain productive working relationships with local stakeholders, schools and colleges. To provide information, advice and guidance to students and parents on Apprenticeship and pre-Apprenticeship opportunities designed to help them make informed decisions about their/their child’s future. To encourage and nurture effective working relationships with these external agencies.
You will need to be driven, organised and dedicated to managing a busy and demanding workload. You will have a genuine passion for the world of education, putting the client experience and their learners at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records of applicants and vacancies for tracking and reporting.
* Provide career advice and guidance on apprenticeships, study programs, and traineeships.
* Support applicants through interview preparation, placement, and follow-ups.
* Facilitate assessment days and support.
* Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective learners by working with applicants, schools, colleges, and partner organizations.
* Organize and deliver job club sessions, career events, assessment days and presentations for applicants, parents, and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Business Development, Recruitment) to create engaging activities, outreach strategies, and promotional materials.
* Act as a key contact for schools, colleges, and referral agencies to promote apprenticeship opportunities and build strong partnerships.
* Represent the organization at school and community events, challenging misconceptions and inspiring young people.
* Foster relationships with stakeholders, including teachers and career advisors, to enhance engagement and recruitment.
* Evaluate outreach activities and refine engagement strategies based on insights and feedback.
* Stay informed on apprenticeship programs, competitor offerings, and relevant funding legislation.
* Continuously improve career support practices and contribute to management reporting.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and undertake additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
In order to be successful in your application you will need to meet the following criteria:
* Experience of working within a work-based learning environment or a CEIAG environment.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues.
* Ability to communicate effectively with young people and those who influence them - parents, teachers etc.
* Adaptable and ability to work on own initiative.
And if you meet the following desirable criteria even better:
* Educated with Careers, Advice and Guidance L3 or L4 qualifications.
* Educated with Recruitment L2 or L3 qualifications.
* Experience of funding and delivery of AEB, Apprenticeships and other courses.
* Excellent presentation skills.
