The Role:
A well-established UK civil engineering contractor is looking for a Highways Project Manager to oversee critical highways and infrastructure projects with a particular emphasis on heavy groundworks. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, execution, and completion of highways and heavy groundworks projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Manage all aspects of site operations, including subcontractors, resources, health & safety, and compliance.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the supply chain to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Implement innovative and efficient construction methodologies to drive performance and project success.
* Provide leadership to site teams, ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.
About You:
You will have extensive experience managing major highways projects with a strong focus on heavy groundworks. Your background will include overseeing deep drainage, earthworks, foundations, and structural elements within highways schemes. A proven track record in project leadership, cost management, and stakeholder coordination is essential. You’ll be well-versed in industry regulations and best practices, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects forward in complex environments. Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline will be highly advantageous.
