Role Overview: CAD Draughtsperson / Technician The CAD Draughtsperson / Technician will be responsible for producing technical drawings and supporting the engineering functions at LPE. This role involves working closely with engineering, production, and shop floor teams, while also providing information to the Quality and Inspection departments as needed. Key Responsibilities Create detailed 2D dimensional stage drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing Revise and update existing drawings based on changes from customers, job controllers, or the manufacturing team Design fixtures for manufacturing, working closely with engineers Maintain detailed documentation, including notes on designs, tooling, and materials for future reference Ensure consistency in project documentation Assist the NPI Engineering Manager with other tasks as required Required Skills and Experience Right to live and work in the UK Strong understanding of G, D & T and ability to produce accurate drawings/models to ISO and ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing In-depth knowledge of engineering processes, materials, and treatments Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as needed Strong team player with a passion for product excellence and customer satisfaction Proficiency in Solid/Surface modeling and drawing to ISO standards Familiarity with lathes and 3 to 5-axis machine tool methods is advantageous Experience with Pro-E/Creo 6 (desirable, but training provided) Qualifications Basic O' Level / GCSE qualifications, and technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ) Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Security clearance (desirable) Benefits Excellent pension and life assurance Free on-site parking Career development opportunities 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) Health cash plan and wellness services Employee discount scheme and assistance program Profit-sharing and recognition programs Our client is an Equal Opportunities employer, committed to creating a working environment where employees can grow, thrive, and develop their potential in a respectful, inclusive, and diverse workplace.
