What you’ll be doing as our Cyber Security Engineer: Monitoring networks for security breaches Investigating, documenting, and reporting security breaches Researching IT security trends and technologies Helping users with security products and procedures Planning, designing and executing security training Researching new security risks Suggesting improvements for any security weaknesses Regular security reporting and presenting information to the IT Manager Network protection – ensuring the network is running and protected using the latest Cisco Meraki equipment. Data Protection – Ensuring that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data in use. Disaster Recovery & Business continuity – ensuring that the business can recover from a security incident, using playbooks and staff training. CIS Security Project – Using the CIS controls to benchmark the business then plan the necessary actions to raise the business security level. The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Cyber Security Engineer: Proficiency in using all security tools, ability to analyse large data sets, high interest in cyber security. A basic knowledge of networking Experience for 1 year or more within an IT department of any size, networking or security modules.
