We are working with an engineering contractor specializing in the food and beverage industry, who is looking to hire for the following positions on a temporary-to-permanent contract:
Positions Available:
1. Fabricator/Welder, Pipefitter
2. Fabricator/Welder, Pipefitter Workshop Foreman
Fabricator/Welder, Pipefitter Workshop Foreman
Location: Swadlincote (75% workshop, 25% local/national sites)
Package:
* Full-time PAYE Contract, based on working in both the workshop and national sites (75/25 split).
* Salary: £44,720.00 (£21.50/hour) based on a 40-hour work week, paid on the last working day of each month.
* Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 8 hours Monday to Friday and all-day Saturday, 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
* Travel: Door-to-door travel paid for both workshop and site-based work.
* Company van: Provided for work, including private use.
* Laptop and Android phone: Provided.
* Holidays: 31 days, including Bank Holidays.
* Lodging: Hotel provided for lodge sites, plus £30 per night expenses.
* Shifts: Lodge sites typically run Monday to Friday, but weekend work may be required depending on the workload.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Full UK driving license.
* Ideally time-served, but a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification required.
* Experience as a TIG welder working with stainless steel in the food and beverage industry is essential.
* Able to follow and work with P&ID drawings.
* Responsibilities:
* Work alongside management to oversee daily operations of the fabrication workshop.
* Receive material deliveries and order materials as needed.
* Generate quotes for projects.
* Progression to a management role is available for the right candidate.
