About Our Client
Our client is a well established manufacturing company based in Blackpool.
Job Description
To lead and manage the operational functions of the business, implementing efficiencies and processes across our warehousing, production, procurement and logistics functions. Working with the Senior Management team to develop and implement strategies that drive operational excellence and support growth objectives.
1. Perpetual management of a large Operations team, consisting of Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Stock Control and Transport.
2. Lead the development, training and performance management of over 100 employees.
3. Identify and resolve operational issues.
4. Identify and drive process improvements and optimisation.
5. Manage capex, plant development and a continuous improvement system.
6. Champion "Quality by Design".
7. Collaborate with Health & Safety, Facilities, Product Design, Quality Assurance and Sales departments.
8. Personal involvement in inbound and outbound international logistics.
The Successful Applicant
1. Proven experience within an operational leadership role within a manufacturing / product assembly environment.
2. Strong understanding of various manufacturing and assembly processes and supply chain management.
3. Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A "can do" attitude with a "hands on" approach to deploying corrective actions.
5. Be familiar with commercial IT systems.
6. Drive, determination and self-confidence in commercial abilities.
7. We will also consider Warehouse Managers, Distribution Managers, and Logistics Managers but you must have some direct assembly manufacturing exposure.
What's on Offer
£50,000 to £60,000 depending on level and experience plus bonus and benefits.
