Due to continued success, our Corporate Partner is seeking the addition of a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join their high calibre team in Chester.
The Role
We are looking for a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor NQ – 2 years PQE to join our Corporate Partner’s fast-growing team in Chester.
You will have experience in dealing with M&A, corporate transactions generally, shareholder agreements, legal due diligence exercises and disclosure exercises.
In this role, the vast majority of your time will be dedicated to corporate work, whilst there may also be opportunities to also deal with non-transactional commercial matters.
As a minimum, you will be a qualified Solicitor with no less than 6 months' experience in corporate law. You’ll be joining a dynamic team of three, working closely with the Partner, Senior Associate and Paralegal within the team and developing your skills as a Corporate Lawyer.
The ideal candidate will be able to attend the office 5 days a week, but consideration may be given to promising candidates who request one day a week working from home. You would be expected to quickly integrate yourself into the team and work closely alongside the other team members.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supporting the corporate team in managing and driving transactions forward, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
* Handle a mixed caseload of predominantly corporate, but also commercial matters.
* Uphold a collaborative working environment.
* Providing end-to-end technical support on corporate matters.
* Advising on and managing various matters including mergers, acquisitions, and disposals (M&A).
* Managing due diligence and disclosure exercises from both a buyer and seller perspective.
* Drafting ancillary documents.
* Supporting management buyouts, private equity investments, and joint ventures.

Personal Specification
To be successful in the role, you will be NQ -2 years PQE, with previous experience (minimum 6 months) handling a varied corporate law caseload. You will be driven, pro-active, efficient, organised, and keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions forward.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
* Strong academics.
* Commercial awareness and negotiating skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word, and virtual data rooms).
* Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
* Self-starter and driven individual who has a keen desire to learn.
