Shift: 4 on, 4 off rota
Ensure all products supplied in to and from business operations conform to legal, quality and safety requirements. Lone working, or as part of a team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day analytical activity of the site laboratory by conducting chemical and microbial analysis of raw material, material in process, and finished products. Creation of and upkeep of existing analytical databases, reporting non-conformities and working with wider teams to agree and support corrective action plans. Creation and issuing of C of C/As and ensuring overall traceability of the products are maintained within the lab.
Rate of Pay: Minimum wage to start. This will be reviewed upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Promote ‘Right First Time’, ‘Clean As You Go’, Food Hygiene Regulations (general) and ‘Always Audit Ready’
* Collection of raw and finished product samples
* Perform routine, adhoc sampling, and batch testing as required (e.g. raw materials, bulk production, finished goods, shelf life etc.)
* Running and reporting analysis typically using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
* Maintain quality records and systems in accordance with relevant accreditation.
* Producing certificates of conformity and analysis where required.
* Take part in required training related to the position and supportive of wider team training.
* Follow the company’s Health and Safety Policy and promote a positive safety culture.
* Assist with general housekeeping of the lab environment and associated equipment.
* Complete daily lab set up, verification and support calibration of lab equipment
Support the timely investigation of customer complaints.
