Major Donor Fundraiser (Scotland): We are seeking an experienced major donor fundraiser to engage with donors and prospects, building income and pipeline. The role will work closely with the Director Scotland, reporting to the Director of Fundraising. Strong experience in cultivation, stewardship, and proposal writing is desirable. The role will have its own income target and KPIs based on engagement.
The role will work mainly with GWCT staff, occasionally with universities on trust applications.
The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust is a research and conservation charity, aiming for a thriving countryside rich in game and wildlife. The GWCT has been researching and developing game and wildlife management techniques for over 80 years.
You will work with the Director Scotland, Director of Fundraising, Chairman Scotland, and other key staff. The Prospect Researcher will provide information on donors and prospects, and the Finance team will support the role.
Key responsibilities include delivering agreed income targets, developing a stewardship programme, creating streamlined systems, and increasing income from trusts and foundations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in major donor fundraising, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a deep understanding of stewardship and CRM systems. A good understanding of moves management and financial skills is also desirable.
