We are currently recruiting an experienced Youth Support Work Volunteer to deliver a high-quality face to face drop ins and group work support sessions. What difference will you make? By volunteering with us you will be supporting young people to express their views, build their skills, improve their confidence and wellbeing as well as inspire them to be active citizens and make a positive impact amongst their community and peer networks. What are we looking for? We are looking for a volunteer who has Strong and adaptable communication skills. Experience engaging young people with a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and levels of need. An ability to communicate with a diverse range of young people in a non-judgmental and supportive manner. An ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team. An ability to plan, deliver and evaluate meaningful and engaging youth activities. Experience of youth work planning and delivery. An understanding of safeguarding procedures and protocol. A commitment to equal opportunities and celebrating diversity. A passion for youth participation and empowering young people to express their views. Strong timekeeping, commitment and reliability. What will you be doing? At Brighter Futures Together we strive to provide a wide range of focused activities and projects that benefit young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 with SEND). We would like a volunteer to help with Supporting delivery of structured youth work sessions.(drop ins and group sessions) Building meaningful and engaging relationships with young people. encouraging the involvement of young people in the planning and evaluation of programmes Supporting young people to identify, track and achieve development targets. Supervising young people during sessions and managing any safeguarding concerns. Setting up and packing away resources and equipment before and after sessions. Registering young people and data entry. Supporting staff to plan and evaluate activities. Developing reflective practice and attend supervision as required You will be working with highly skilled and experienced Youth Workers who will provide a lead role in planning, delivery and evaluation of activities. You will be provided with regular supervision and given the opportunity build your skills and identify professional development targets. Full induction and training is provided, including safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety.
