Rehabilitation Support Workers AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients who have acquired brain injury. AICS Group is looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with our client who lives in Streatham. This role provides immense job satisfaction, supporting the client towards greater independence whilst being guided by professionals specialising in brain injury rehabilitation. ABOUT THE ROLE The ideal candidate will be able to effectively support the client with his physical, speech and cognitive rehabilitation, with emphasis on helping the client to become increasingly more independent in activities of daily living. The role would include but not be restricted to: - supporting the client with activities of daily living – planning, organising, executing tasks - supporting the client with his speech and physiotherapy programme - supporting the client in exercises and activities enhancing his cognitive functioning - supporting the client with community integration - supporting the client’s engagement and motivation in his rehabilitation programme Support hours: Monday to Sunday 24/7 support Shift patterns available: 24-hour shifts (Day shifts 09:00 – 23:00, Sleep-in Night shifts 23:00 – 09:00) PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Skills: A minimum of 1 year experience in health and social care Experience and understanding of community brain injury rehabilitation work Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and implement therapy guidelines Willingness to learn and ability to take on constructive feedback Excellent time management skills Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals Good IT skills Desirable Skills: Driving Undergraduate / Postgraduate Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or related fields We offer: Competitive rates pay Mandatory Training, Brain Injury Training, Medication Training Additional client specific training
