Based within our Weston General Hospital Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care Department, you will provide a welcoming experience and support to our patients and visitors, many of whom can find the experience of entering the hospital environment frightening. Key Responsibilities Providing a friendly welcome to patients and visitors entering the Emergency Department waiting rooms. Updating patients with waiting times. Signposting to other support and services, as required. Restocking of resources i.e. cups / leaflets / activity packs and preparing information packs, where applicable. Keeping patients company if they are on their own, engaging in conversation and utilising resources where available. Providing light refreshments (where agreed with Trust Division).
