Support for the day-to-day operational management of the service.

The post-holder will be expected to deputise for the Service Manager when required.
The post holder will be responsible for analysing reports and working with SDM and GM on addressing capacity gaps.
Main duties of the job
1. Manage personal workload to meet both corporate and personal deadlines.
2. Prioritise workload in a way that enables the delivery of both important and urgent tasks.
3. Manage staff and delegate appropriate tasks, ensuring competence of the staff to whom work is delegated.
4. Organise staff briefings and meetings as appropriate.
5. Support the senior management team in undertaking capacity and demand exercises in order to best plan and deliver services.
6. Facilitate collaborative working between all stakeholders inside and outside of the Directorate, including both clinical and non-clinical staff.
7. Participate in the development of a shared vision for the Division and promote a culture where all staff understand and are involved in working together towards the achievement of the service and Trust objectives.
8. Support the development of collaborative partnerships and effective working relationships with clinical staff, managers, and members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), creating an environment within which all staff have an opportunity to become closely involved in, or have genuine opportunity to influence and improve, the management, planning, and development of services.
9. Identify changes that may be required in an area to deliver the service and actively implement these changes with the support of the Service Delivery Manager.
10. Seek to work with a "problem solving approach" in order to identify solutions to challenges in the service.

Person Specification
* Experience of handling complaints.
* Educational achievement to degree level equivalent or significant relevant managerial experience in NHS or similar setting.
* Experience of producing regular comprehensive reports.
* Demonstrate commitment to Trust HEART values: honesty, equity, accountability, respect, and teamwork.
* Excellent time management skills and able to work under pressure and multitask.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
* Experience of financial monitoring in NHS.
* Ability to negotiate and influence staff.
