At Christine Avenue in Wellington, Telford we provide quality care and support to 4 adults within a beautiful supported living setting. Our mission is to provide a safe, homely environment in which individuals can live happily. Our team provide person centred care and support that meet the tenant’s needs and preferences. We are looking for someone who can lead a team of dedicated workers in achieving positive outcomes for tenants; this will include providing dignified care and support with personal care needs, promoting inclusion by organising meaningful activities and events, helping to coordinate and deliver individual packages of care and support
As a Senior Support worker your role will include:
1. Provide dignified and respectful care and support to assist with personal care needs.
2. Encourage and support individuals to learn new skills and increase their independence and self-esteem.
3. Support individuals to maintain a healthy lifestyle, this may include making and attending health appointments.
4. Assisting the registered manager to complete essential documents including support plans, risk assessments, training records and other.
5. Shared responsibility for coaching and deploying staff and managing rotas.
6. Liaising with family members, professionals and commissioners.
7. Willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the service to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You must be well organised and conscientious, you must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. You will be required to work directly on a rota, undertaking early, late and weekend duties as required. Senior support workers are expected participate in a local on-call rota.
