Senior Buyer Jobs in Andover at Stannah - Join Our Team Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Procurement Department based at our Andover Head Office. This job will involve managing supplier relationships to realise the best overall value while purchasing to MRP requirements. You will oversee 2-3 commodity areas, managing up to 8 critical suppliers with an annual spend of 4-8 million. As the Senior Buyer, you will work 8:00 am to 4:45 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday. This job is a fixed term contract for 12 months. This is a great opportunity for a skilled procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships in both domestic and international markets. To be successful as the Senior Buyer, it is essential that you have previous experience in supplier relationship management, procurement, and contract negotiation. Experience in commodity market analysis and cost reduction strategies would be desirable. Senior Buyer Responsibilities: Manage supplier relationships across 2-3 commodity areas, with accountability for up to 8 critical suppliers. Lead contract negotiations, implement supplier agreements, and manage annual procurement spend of 4-8 million. Drive cost reduction initiatives, support new product development, and facilitate smooth product change implementations. Conduct supplier audits, manage PPAP submissions, and lead problem-solving initiatives for supplier-related issues. Influence continuous improvement activities within the procurement function, focusing on efficiency and cost savings. Senior Buyer Requirements: Proven experience in supplier account management, procurement, or a similar role. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to manage both UK and overseas suppliers, including supplier audits. MCIPS or ACIPS qualification is desirable, or willingness to study towards ACIPS.
