Job Description:
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in managing and developing relationships with strategically important customers. You will be responsible for onboarding new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The role involves working cross-functionally to address technical challenges and deliver outstanding engineering solutions.
This role requires a combination of strong technical acumen, project management skills, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. You will act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met while identifying opportunities for business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain relationships with strategically important customers, ensuring their technical and commercial needs are met.
* Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, from pre-sales consultation to post-implementation support.
* Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for business growth and improved customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality departments, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Lead project management efforts for complex client requirements, ensuring key milestones and delivery timelines are met.
* Review customer specifications, mitigate risks, and generate accurate quotations to support sales growth.
* Communicate progress updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to client-facing presentations, training sessions, and workshops to demonstrate the company’s capabilities.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in Account Management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong technical background. A HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Experience working cross-functionally to resolve technical and commercial challenges.
* Proficiency in MS Office and relevant IT tools.
