At Bristol Business School, we are passionate about developing talent, fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, and driving future-focused, impactful research.
As we prepare to deliver on exciting new programmes in International Management, we are looking for dynamic, passionate, and talented individuals to join our team. We are recruiting for a one-year fixed term contract for a Senior Lecturer in International Management.
Bristol Business School comprises six subject clusters, and these posts will sit in the Strategy and Operations Management (SOM) cluster. In addition to International Management, the SOM cluster includes Strategic Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Management, and Innovation and Enterprise. SOM colleagues also contribute to the Innovation, Operations Management and Supply Chain, and Sustainable Economies Research Groups.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and expanding team of academics engaged in a broad range of research and scholarly activities promoting UWE Strategy 2030 and UWE’s research beacons, particularly digital futures, health and wellbeing, and sustainability.
About you: We are looking for passionate individuals committed to excellence in teaching and research to join Bristol Business School as a Senior Lecturer in International Management. We welcome applications from creative thinkers who thrive in an innovative and inclusive environment and can fully contribute to the School’s teaching, research, and external engagement activities.
You should have a strong academic background in International Management, as well as experience in research methods and project supervision.
The nature of the subject group’s teaching means that candidates should be confident, outgoing, and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller, specialist modules.
Candidates should hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and be committed to teaching and research.
To succeed in this role, you will require a sufficient depth and currency of specialist knowledge in International Management, ideally with the ability to contribute to other related subject areas within the cluster. You must demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings and be able to design innovative teaching materials using a technology-enhanced approach.
The focus of this post is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students through exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the School, as well as engaging in knowledge exchange, research, and other activities that enhance and inform teaching delivery, design, and curriculum development.
