Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Freight Account Manager to join their team. In this key role, you will manage client relationships, oversee logistics coordination, and ensure the smooth transportation of goods. Your focus will be on maintaining excellent client satisfaction while optimizing efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain strong relationships with clients as their primary point of contact.
2. Coordinate shipments, select carriers, schedule pickups/deliveries, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
3. Oversee client accounts, negotiate pricing, manage contracts, and handle billing inquiries.
4. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing.
5. Resolve any challenges during transportation, i.e., delays, damages, or regulatory issues.
6. Track performance, i.e., on-time delivery rates and customer review scores to identify opportunities for improvement.
7. Work closely with premium clients, emphasizing exceptional customer service, communication, and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in freight forwarding, air, road, sea freight.
2. Strong communication skills, builds trust and rapport with clients and internal teams.
3. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
4. Proficiency with logistics software, tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
