The Cairndale Hotel & Spa located in Dumfries, South West Scotland offers 86 comfortable en-suite rooms and suites and is one of the largest, private, family owned hotel properties in Scotland.
In July 2024, after a £2 million investment, The Cairndale Spa opened, quickly becoming Scotland's Newest Spa Destination.Situated in the heart of Dumfries, the hotel also provides easy access to the many popular golf destinations and local amenities.
A Brand New Restaurant opens in late Spring with extensive refurbishment of bedrooms currently underway. This truly is an exciting time for the business.
Role Description
This is a full-time Sales Manager role based on-site at The Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales activities, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.
Being an independent hotel, we pride ourselves on being personable, creative and not bound by corporate re-tape. You will be able to own this position, working closely with The Cairndale Hotel & Spa's owners, forming a key part of the Management Team.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for accommodation, spa, events, and dining.
* Lead and manage the sales team, setting KPls and performance goals.
* Drive new business development, securing corporate contracts and group bookings.
* Strengthen client relationships, ensuring high engagement and repeat business.
* Represent The Cairndale Hotel and Spa at industry events and networking opportunities.
* Collaborate with the Revenue Manager and senior leadership to align sales efforts with business goals.
* Increase direct sales and reduce reliance on third-party bookings.
* Drive spa and wellness revenue through targeted corporate and group bookings, working closely in collaboration with The Spa Manager and Hotel Directors.
* Work with marketing team to develop high-impact sales campaigns
Qualifications
* Sales Strategy Development and Implementation skills
* Client Relationship Management and Negotiation skills
* Ability to Achieve Revenue Targets
* Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
* Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is desirable but not essential.
