Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of our partner primary school in central Manchester. This full-time position represents an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a reputable primary school and make a profound difference to the lives of pupils with SEN. The school wish for the successful SEN Teaching Assistant to start immediately for a minimum of one term. Overview - - Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant vacancy. - To work with targeted groups of SEN pupils to ensure they are comprehensively supported across all areas of school life. - Required to start immediately for the rest of the academic year initially. Specific duties - - To help SEN pupils to resolve a range of issues which are creating barriers to learning. - To help implement and review action plans for SEN pupils. - To develop pro-active approaches to learning for pupils with complex learning needs. - To maintain regular contact with parents/carers of students receiving support and to encourage positive family involvement in the students’ learning. The school - It is larger than the average size primary school with just over 450 pupils on roll. The number of pupils eligible for the pupil premium funding and those who speak English as an Additional Language are higher than the national average.
