FPGA Verification Engineer
Location: Gloucestershire
Contract Duration: 6 months
Rate: £75ph Inside IR35
We are looking for an FPGA Verification Engineer to join us and take on the role of authoring and reviewing test procedures, ensuring demonstrable links between requirements, tests, and test results. You will also lead and support specific verification activities and deliver work packages as assigned by the project.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. FPGA verification activities as per DO-254, including Problem Reports and documentation.
2. Physical (lab-based) test authoring and reviewing.
3. Assessing elemental analysis and code coverage.
4. Scripting to aid test development, test result analysis, or management of traceability data.
5. Owning and carrying out various aspects of verification activities as requested by the technical leads.
6. VHDL code reviews.
7. Strong communication - both written and verbal.
Desired Characteristics:
1. Very strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification (including testbenches and scoreboarding).
2. Strong background in FPGA design.
3. Experience of DO-254 verification activities.
4. Knowledge of a range of scripting languages, e.g. Python, tcl.
5. Questa/Modelsim experience.
6. Keen attention to detail balanced with a pragmatic approach.
7. Knowledge of standard aviation communication protocols, such as ARINC429, would be a bonus.
8. Lab skills, including debugging/problem solving.
