We’re putting in place a fresh operating model for non-financial risk management across the Group, empowering our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks that they face This means we’re changing how we do risk management, creating a team of risk specialists, to provide support aligned to our risk and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes About this opportunity: We’re looking for a Supplier Oversight Manager who'll provides insightful, high-quality analysis and evaluation of the supplier risk and control environment in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF). They'll work with risk specialist leadership to support the design and implementation of risk policies, appetite, control objectives and delivery of the risk oversight plan. What you'll be doing: Works with Risk and Control owner teams to provide Supplier Risk support and help deliver against aligned customer, business and strategic outcomes. Analyses and assesses the Supplier Risk and control environment using a wide range of sources to support the design and implementation of risk policies and appetite. Organises and prepares supporting documentation, while also gathering and summarising data and information, to enable the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the Group’s exposure relative to risk appetite Assists with Identification and development of key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators to enable appropriate monitoring of appetite and policy. Assists with the development and implementation of effective, ongoing data-led Supplier Risk control objectives to meet the needs or risk and control owners, control specialist teams, Audit and external regulators. Supports control owners and specialists to implement control measures that are designed to achieve the control objectives. Regularly monitors and validates the effectiveness of the design of control measures to ensure they are achieving the control objectives. Supports the delivery of a risk and control oversight plan to assess compliance to relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and/or established controls. Assists in the management of actions on Supplier Risk events and breaches following Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Identifies issues and then suggests and implements improvements to control environment with guidance from senior colleagues. What you’ll need: Technical Rules Specialism [Insurance & Pensions Specialism] – you'll need existing Supplier Risk expertise aligned to the IP&I business landscape. An SME in supplier management activities. Compliance Frameworks – you'll have a good understanding of the latest Compliance frameworks and technology being used across financial and non-financial services, which has enabled you to play a key role in a specialist risk centre of excellence. Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulation and industry standards. Experience of supporting group-level policy and setting risk-appetite, and able to set control objectives and performance indicators. Data & Analytics – You have the ability to understand and assimilate different sources of data and complex information, to support with effective problem solving that leads to relevant conclusions and recommendations. You demonstrate strong analytical skills to assess Supplier control environment effectiveness using a wide range of information and sources to identify potential impacts on the business. Reporting – Experience in leading the production of timely and accurate reporting to support the monitoring of risk policies and appetite. You have the ability to support the development and delivery of a risk and control oversight plan to assess compliance to relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and/or established controls, reporting findings and deviations using concise and clear communications.
