Join our Closures, Dairy and Beverage business and as Key Account Manager, youre responsibility will be to manage nominated key corporate accounts and develop sales opportunities for Closures, Dairy and Beverage products, both new and existing. You will work closely with Pact's key accounts to increase existing customer share of wallet, develop and onboard new customers and provide exceptional support. The role is responsible for customers and markets at both a State and National level as directed by the Head of Sales. The role calls for excellent communication and self-motivation, and a proven history of sustainable growth success using data market insights. This is a sales leadership role within a matrix structure and is focused on customers' needs at corporate and site levels.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
* Ensure that the existing customer base is managed in accordance with expectations, including active development and management of customer relationships, accurate and timely orders / forecasting / inventory and slow stock management and development of new product and business opportunities with both new and existing customers
* Develop and maintain Account Plans for key customers
* Conduct regular customer business review meetings
* Identify and deliver on new opportunities and product sales strategies by maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
* Prepare and present reporting and analysis on business activities, performance against targets, and market and industry opportunities
* Support preparation and submission of proposals that deliver a competitive and valuable service offering for customers and our business
* Lead own portfolio’s contribution to annual sales budget process
* Prepare forecasts as to the current and future months’ forecast sales for allocated accounts
* Represent the customer's "voice" within the business and ensuring that their experience throughout PACT is aligned with the strategic importance of the account
* Identify sales training needs and participating in sales training programs as required
* Consult with Quality Assurance Manager for the external issue of specifications for customer approval
* Provide Sales support / backup to other business functions and to perform other duties as may be required
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have :
* Solid tenure of practical sales and account management experience, particularly managing and selling to major accounts with a demonstrated track record of delivering growth.
* Financial acumen and negotiation experience
* Technical sales capabilities preferred i.e. Rigid Packaging, Polyolefins, Laminate Structures
* Experience in Client Relationship Management
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products (excel, word, powerpoint)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Detail orientated
* Work collaboratively across various functions
* Methodological approach to systems and working environment
