Hearings Support Officer
Location: Edinburgh
Working Pattern: Full-time, Office-based (Monday to Friday)
About the Role
Are you highly organised, proactive and passionate about supporting people? ASA are working with a large-scale public sector client who is looking for a dedicated Hearings Support Officer to join their fast-paced and dynamic team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll provide essential operational and administrative support across the board, working closely with colleagues from multiple teams, including the Hearings & Witnesses Team, Executive Support and Shared Services.
This is a front-facing role with an emphasis on providing a professional service to both internal and external stakeholders. From providing reception duties to supporting the smooth running of day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide front-line support during hearings, including reception duties, greeting witnesses and managing hearing room protocols.
* Manage diaries, coordinate meetings, book travel, and handle sensitive correspondence.
* Provide administrative support to the Hearings & Witnesses Team, including inbox management, minuting meetings and managing witness logistics.
* Support the wider Shared Services and Programme Management Team with a range of operational and business support tasks.
* Act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, ensuring a high standard of professionalism and care.
* Organise and support virtual hearings, managing video conferencing logistics.
* Assist with planning and managing key events.
* Maintain accurate filing systems and adhere to records management guidelines.
