An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Community Nurse to join the Bideford Community Nursing Team.
The Community Nurse will be based in the community setting of Bideford. As a community nurse, you will help to care for individuals in their own homes or relevant care setting, promoting and supporting their independence through assessments, implementation, and reviewing of care.

Job responsibilities
As a community nurse, you will be part of a team, under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialist but would be required to be an autonomous practitioner. You will be a pivotal part of the Integrated Health and Social Care team to help provide multidisciplinary working that will also enhance the care delivered to individuals. The successful candidate will need to ensure high standards of nursing care are delivered to individuals on the caseload. Clinical skills for the role include venepuncture, catheterisation, wound care, compression bandaging, PICC care, injections, and end-of-life care. Having previous experience is desirable but not essential.
The Community Nursing Team is skill mixed and all relevant training for your role would be provided to ensure you are equipped to meet the needs of the service. As a member of the team, you will engage in regular clinical supervision and support with ongoing professional development.
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
