The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for delivering the charity’s marketing across various channels, under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Manager. The role includes content creation, campaign execution, market research and data management to help drive brand visibility, awareness and engagement.
Main duties:
1. Support marketing initiatives: Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans, campaigns and events to enhance our outreach and impact.
2. Maintain and enhance digital presence: Ensure our website and social media channels are always up to date with the latest information. Continuously improve our website by updating content for our wide range of services, keeping messages fresh, engaging and relevant. Produce organic and paid social media content.
3. Produce our magazines: Coordinate and create (using InDesign) our magazines, EngAGE and Care Matters, supported by the Marketing & Communications Manager.
4. Develop and design marketing materials: Create and artwork various marketing materials and campaigns. Track the progress and results of these campaigns and gather data to enhance performance and effectiveness.
5. Email marketing: Develop and send regular email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external audiences.
6. Social media monitoring: Oversee our social media channels and review and respond to any comments and messages to maintain engagement and community interaction.
7. Collaborate with colleagues: Work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including service managers, to ensure effective communication about our wide range of services and activities.
8. Oversee the organisation's Canva account: Create templates and manage the approval process to ensure all designs are proofread and adhere to brand guidelines.
9. Present findings and insights: Deliver presentations and reports, both graphic and written, as well as verbal, to communicate findings, statistics and insights effectively.
10. Administrative support: Perform administrative tasks for the marketing and fundraising team as required.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Have experience in a marketing role or other relevant experience.
2. Experience in website content management and social media platforms.
3. Have experience in using Mailchimp and databases.
4. Experience using website templates.
5. Experience managing a business Facebook page and Facebook group.
6. Experience creating InDesign content for print.
7. Be skilled in creating and editing copy.
8. Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy and be skilled in proofreading.
9. Familiarity with relational databases.
10. Working knowledge of data protection.
Additional Information:
* Salary £12.60 per hour.
* 35 hours per week. Job share considered.
* Hybrid - with a minimum of three days in the office.
* 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 6 weeks after 5 years’ service.
