An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior leadership role of Head of IT Operations within the eHealth Directorate. This is a Board-wide role, reporting to the Director of Digital Services and working as a member of the eHealth Senior Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and deliver the Boards Digital Strategy and day to day running of all infrastructure and operational services. The Department has circa 260 staff working across acute sites (including the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre) as well as eHealth IT and Telecommunications offices. The post involves working across all clinical specialties as well as with other NHS Scotland Boards and other key internal and external stakeholders. Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant experience in the management of IT Operations, including skills in staff management & development, financial management plus experience of developing and implementing strategic change. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The Head of IT Operations role is crucial to driving service transformation, ensuring innovative technology solutions align with patient-centred care and operational excellence.
