The School of Law seeks to appoint a Widening Participation Officer. The Widening Participation Officer will develop and support the School’s pro bono, co-curricular and work experience programmes, and will work with internal and external partners to develop and implement the School’s widening participation and employability agendas.
* The postholder will be responsible for administering the School of Law’s Work Experience Scheme and Work Experience Bursary Scheme.
* The postholder will organise the School of Law’s annual Pro Bono and Co-Curricular Fair and assist with the organisation of pro bono and co-curricular activities.
* The postholder will liaise with the Director of Enterprise, Alumni, and external agencies and legal professionals in order to develop the work experience, pro bono and co-curricular programmes in the School of Law.
* The postholder will evaluate and report on the contribution of pro bono and co-curricular activities and work experience to the Widening Participation agenda using appropriate internal review mechanisms.
* The postholder will develop and embed Widening Participation strategies within the Law School, in consultation with the University’s Student Recruitment and Outreach Office.
The Widening Participation Officer will support and develop the School of Law’s Widening Participation programme through the organisation of pro-bono, co-curricular and work experience opportunities for students.
You will have :
* Ability to work with internal and external partners to create and deliver opportunities for students,
* Ability to complete administrative tasks promptly and effectively,
* Ability to work with University systems and policies,
* Experience of planning events.
