Job summary We are looking to appoint an experienced Diabetic Specialist Nurse for 4-6 sessions per week. The ideal candidate will have completed (or be undertaking) a nationally recognised diabetes education programme at postgraduate diploma level. Main duties of the job The role of Diabetes Specialist Nurse includes management of diabetes, health education, reviewing blood test results, medication monitoring, and dose adjustments. The ideal candidate would be a prescriber, or working towards this qualification. The post-holder will operate within their own sphere of competence, and agreed acceptable limits of practice, to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers, and colleagues.
